Cancellations - how Kowalah keeps your show on the road
At Kowalah we spend a lot of time in the interview process to make sure our network of Kowalahs are reliable and understand that when they accept a booking request they are committing to delivering that service to you - regardless of other plans or sunny weather that might come along!
But occasionally life does get in the way - a car breaks down or a family member is seriously unwell. In these situations Kowalah steps into action to make sure your day isn't disrupted.
Emergency Booking Request
When a Kowalah has an emergency they will normally advise our support desk directly. Once we have notification that your Kowalah definitely can't attend your booking we will run an emergency booking request for the same booking time on your behalf.
This goes out to all the local Kowalahs and those that don't have bookings are able to accept if they are still available. In many cases this emergency booking request will fall within our short notice window - but Kowalah will not pass any additional fees onto you.
Casting the net wider
In some cases where all your local Kowalahs are booked we will cast the net a little wider to ensure we get your emergency booking request fulfilled. In these cases we will contribute to the fuel costs of the Kowalah again without passing on to yourself.
In most cases the first you will know about a Kowalah that has had to cancel is a telephone call from the Kowalah team to let you know that unfortunately due to illness/car your Kowlah was not able to make the booking but we have 1,2,3 alternative Kowalahs for you to choose from.
We will then send over the profiles and reviews for you to make a quick decision and your replacement Kowalah can then call to arrange details for the booking.
Whilst no-one wants or likes a cancellation, we do get great feedback from parents that the Kowalahs that step in to help out with an emergency are some of the best Kowalahs - and they become a regular Kowalah for that family. It's nice to know that out of an unfortunate and thankfully very rare situation some great new connections can be made.
